I was walking in the street using the programm called Hotspot Finder in order to schearch all the hotspot around my home and where i m used to be .. and i have think to something DO you think it s possible to create a programm that find hotspot( like hotspot finder) but then the programme try to connect to the hotspot to see if it s a free one or not and then if it s a free one and/or a crypted one , it use a programme like google map to save the location of the hotspot on a map ... Like thaht you go in the street with the programm on and when you come back home you can watch a map of where you have been with all the free and/or crypted hotspot
Do you think it s possible to creat a program like that ?
If yes do you know any body able to make it ?

Thanks a lot and sorry for my really bad english i m french...

What you do is called 'warwalking' ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warwalking ). I do it often.

BTW, Hotspot Finder already tells if it a free hotspot and/or a crypted one. But of course it doesn't know if it's a obligatory webpage with a uid and pwd that awaits when you connect.

Hotspot Finder is quite useless for warwalking since it, like the built-in checker, only checks once in a minute! So it doesn't add anything to what wasn't there in the OS from the beginning. You can however do one thing. You can quit the program (or the built-in program) altogether and check again. Then you get a new WLAN strength percentage. Annoying task, but it works. (That should be easy to reproduce only by some sort of simple script.)

is it possible for someone to upload me Hotspot finder because my version is half in french half il spanish so if you have an all english or all french version send it to me : [email protected]
