A week with the E61

My first 'smartphone' - I previously owned a Sony Clie PDA and various phones.

Love it. OK, it has a few minor flaws. But overall it does almost everthing I want from a phone/PDA.

What's missing for me. I use Microsoft money on my PC/Laptop and used to use Ultrasofts Money which synced perfectly with MS Money. As yet I can't find a program for the E61 that does this (wthout having to export/import, etc).

The Calendar could do with a few more functions - such as reccuring appoinments, But I'm sure there is a PIM just waiting for the v3 software - hopefully.

Battery life is a lot better than I expected.

Overall I'm glad I got mine - free upgrade on Vodafone.

Clive

I second that: it has it's quirks but it's a damn good phone. Mind you I would be annoyed if adobe was the only thing available to read books... thank God for mobireader and it's excellent desktop application, which imports books that Adobe just won't go near thanks to memory full errors.

More and more users are complaining about the lack of financial application that can synchronize with their PC counterparts. Hopefully, a clever third party developer will come up with something like that soon. There seems to be a real market out there for that kind of stuff.

Yes, there's Papyrus coming soon for S60 3rd edition.
