I'm ready to launch IRC but it would be great to have all admins in the chat area this saterday just to get the last people registred and stuff and I want to make clear to all of you to don't use /msg Symbian op unless it's really necesairy and if you do to do it while in the admin room.
Anyone can propose a time? Saterday evening let's say 8 pm to start ?

Tried getting IRC to work, no success. When i want to install the Java app, soon i get redirected to windows site saying i need to download windows update, but wich one?!! 😞
Maybe you need the Java runtime engine!

You'll probably need Java Virtual Machine which comes in the XP Service pack 1.
Or you can download it from Sun Microsystems on it's own.
Failing that, then use mIRC to access it. 😉

I find it strange it wasn't there to start with, guess something MS missed or forgot 😃
Sun did not let M$ to distribute jvm with XP because they did not have a licence to do that! so i guess M$ is using warez too.

Why was it incuded in service pack one?, it is free anyway, seems a bit silly of MS.

Use the mirc.
Or download the java runtime for xp.

They eventually licensed the jvm for service pack 1 😊 But they did have a license to distribute with Win XP
Ah yes it seems that I wont be able to be at the meeting! However my mirc client is inside and I wil lreview the log when I come back. I forgot that I have bought a ticket about an event a week ago! It starts at 9:30 so I have to get ready and stuff! Have a nice time and be reasonable 😃
