Keylock gets disabled when slider moves in pocket

Hello,

Is there any key lock program that keep keys locked even if slider opens?

Currently I have big problems that my phone when slider opens slightly in my pocket and key lock gets disabled, suddenly starts to run my chinese language training course I have om mp3 (on max volume), very embarrising. At least that what I believe is happening.

Currently I have AutoLock (disables keys after certain time) and MLock. Both are good programs but they both unlocks the keys when slider moves.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

tools > settings > security > phone and sim >autolock period >click on user defined set time to 1 minute and put in a 5 digit code (12345) after 1 min phone locks and if the slider opens it asks you for the code instead of enabling the keys !

I have the same problem, but in my case, I would like to do not answer a call just when I take my phone off my pocket or the case, when the slider moves it answer even if I just want to check who is calling?

Any wat to press an specific button or something like that in order to take the call?

Thanks

Gaston

It's funny that Nokia still has this problem with slider phones. I always had this problem with the 7110 when it came out years ago and it would even unlock just by a gentle tap on the cover.

Putting mlock on your active standby means you do not have to slide the slider up and then down to lock the keypad.

1>Send mlock from your computer to your phone via bluetooth, or via the cable. It should show up in your inbox if you do it via bluetooth. I'm not sure where it shows up if you do it via cable since I have never used the cable.
2>Click on it in your inbox to install it on the N80.
3>If you have active standby (the five shortcuts on your standby screen) on go to part 5. If you don't have active standby on go to part 4
4>go to menu->'tools'->'settings'->'phone'->'standby mode' and change 'active standby' to on
5>go to menu->'tools'->'settings'->'phone'->'standby mode'->'active standby apps' and select one of the five shortcuts, then scroll through the list of apps till you find 'mlock' and select it

Now to lock your keypad you just choose the mlock shortcut on your standby screen

im not an active desktop fan so i just assigned the top left button to mlock (ie install mlock then: -settings-phone-standby-left selection key-mlock)

mLOCK is not fixing the problem with the slider, doesn't it?
The phone still answers calls with I pull it out of my pocket or remove it from the case

Any solution for that?

I am thinking seriously to move to another phone, the slider problem is a big issue!

This might sound stupid but it works for me....

Put the N80 UPSIDE DOWN in your pocket (i.e keyboard at the top, display at the bottom). That way the slider doesn't open in your pocket. Works for me!

This issue is very disturbing! How could they NOT have thought about this? :con?
Are they going to fix this in a future firmware?

I thought about that but I find then the back (keyboard side) slides as I pull the phone out of my pocket unless I'm careful enough to grip the whole phone, and that's enough to unlock it. It's less of an issue with bigger pockets though.

At least I think so... They could let us decide how we would like it to behave, more options to the people...

ROFL...sorry couldnt help laughing...didnt you know that Nokia Developers are untouchable...they are the best and most highly trained individuals in the whole mobile phone arena and any suggestion of us lowly individuals having any "bright ideas" or " suggestions for improvements" to their phones are met with disgust, in fact I think they wipe their bums with all the hard copy emails and letters that arrive on their desk with such suggestions....
