Calendar Entry Transfer

Hi All,

Can any body give me some idea how to transfer my calendar entries from my P910i to P990i.

Well, synchronise the old phone, then un-install PC Suite, install new PC-Suite and re-synchronise. That is the official line, but chances of it actually working are small.

I ended up using a combination of bluetooth and just re-keying. Took a couple of hours because I have a social life (except when sitting at home re-keying calendars) and also store birthdays and name days.

And the latter is also probably why you may want to do the same, because you cannot change the type of an entry when created. So, restoring birthdays, anniversaries etc from the p910 will not take account of the new Anniversary calendar type.

Also, the contacts list has a Birthday field, which then links to the Calendar, or at least creates a new entry there.

Downside of all this is my phone crashed about every 20 or so entries. In all sorts of interesting ways. If you are creating birthdays make sure that you start the calendar application before the contacts application. That will save you some time!
