Remember the post by [D]J posing as Gameloft offering free games?
Well after an email to both [D]J and Gameloft it seems that they are taking legal action 😮
Dear Sir, or Madam,
It has been brought to our attention that you are offering copies of
Gameloft's game entitled "Rayman Golf" for Nokia 7650 on your Internet site
The making of unauthorized copies is a violation of Gameloft rights under
French laws and International Treaties.
You have participated in the violation of law, or, at best, you have been
negligent in preventing others from making unauthorized use of your copy.
You are potentially liable for damages that Gameloft may suffer as a result
of this violation of law. Damages could be significant, given the wide
distribution of pirate copies over the Internet.
Gameloft is disappointed that it cannot rely on you to respect its rights,
and will be considering whether further legal action is appropriate in this
case.
We hereby formally request that you immediately remove Gameloft's game from your Internet site and confirm the same by email. In the case you do not remove immmediately Gameloft's game, Gameloft shall bring a legal action against you in order to protect its rights.
This email is not a complete recitation of facts or law, and we reserve all
of Gameloft rights.

Needless to say everyone is very pissed off with Marco ([D]J), and Nokiafree have banned all warez and overseeing every attachement before it can be downloaded (Something I think we should consider).
So if anyone else complains that we should be letting people share, I think this is reason enough for us not to be let alone our personal feelings on the subject.
