Any he;p gratefully recieved

Have you got any firewalls enabled?
McAfee in particular can screw up the mRouter and other stuff -- mate of mine ended up having to uninstall the firewall before he could get synch working, however I simply disabled it for the duration of the install and everything worked fine. Still does.
See headset comments in a different thread.
In the m-router configuration Advanced Tab, click on View in Additional COM ports and add the COM port that Bluetooth uses. In my case it was COM port 41. This should do it.

I have had exactly the same problems as you!
Have tried FOUR bluetooth headsets and ALL drop the connection mid-call.
I have been unable, as yet, to load the latest firmware as I cannot get SEUS to run - it keeps complaining that a Macromedia component (I assume Flash or Shockwave) is not the right version, even though I have successfully installed the latest version of both!
I love the phone, but its connections leave a lot to be desired...

1. With two SE BT headsets no problems with calls etc
2. For PC SUite, please remember:
- uninstall older versions of PC Suite before installing the new one
- switch-off or even uninstall firewall/virus protection before you install PC Suite
- make sure there are no device conflicts after first attempt to connect the P990
- re-boot after PC Suite install
- use the latest version of PC Suite not one from the CD
jah, so, my suspicions are now confirmed - you are indeed a SonyEriccson employee, trying to put out the fires.... 😉
Ah well, guess SE need 'a man on the ground'.

I suggest you visit my-symbian or Esato and you'll see that I have personally made representations to SE and Symbian about the problems users are facing with the P990.
I have owned PalmOS, WM5, Series 90, Series 80, Series 60, UIQ2.1 and UIQ3 devices. I like to try different technologies. Also I believe it is good to try to help people in forums that have problems. You will see at the PalmOS www.1src.com I am called "pdajah" and I have helped people with problems with the Palm LifeDrive and Clie TH55.
Things are not as simple as some would like to believe....
Well, I have finally found the solution to MY connection problems!!!
After trying all of the suggestions found on numerous forums, I finally stumbled upon the fix when following the advice of a friend relating to a totally different issue!
What was the problem?...
... IE7 (RC1)!!!!!
A friend asked me if I had installed the final release version of IE7 as it had fixed some comms problems that were found in the Release Candidate 1 version of the software. He suggested that I used add/remove programs to uninstall the IE7 RC1 version as apparently it does it a lot cleaner than the uninstall included with the final release of IE7.
So... I uninstalled IE7 RC1 using add/remove programs, installed IE7 and, blow me, PC Suite suddenly kicked into life and so did SEUS!!!
All of my P990i connection problems solved in one foul swoop!
So, if YOU have pulled out all your hair after trying everything possible, try reinstalling IE7 - it did the trick for me!

PS... just the Bluetooth headset connection issue stopping me from enjoying my new phone now! (see seperate thread) I am now on my 5th Bluetooth headset and none of them can keep a call alive 😡
