Memory usage increasing when deleting msg — Nokia 3230

hi all....
i've got a big problem here......
1. my nokia3230 memory usage is increasing when i try to housekeep my inbox.i didn't realize it before when suddenly i've receive an error msg said "Memory Low, Delete Some data!"
i keep deleting my msgs in order to free my memory but suddenly all my apps cant work. everytime i press a key it will give me an error mesg.

2. i cant delete file in C:\System\Mail\index. ------->this is the file that keep increasing each time i deleted my msg.

please help.

i need to backup all important notes and a lot of my msg inside my phone first before im formatting it by pressing the * + green + 3.....

Man, don't hit the poor phone with a hard reset...😉 just install MsvDriveE and your messages will go on the MMC. The index file cannot be deleted because is in use, but you will be able to delete it after moving your messages to MMC.
If you want to format it, better use *#7370# and it would be better if you have a backup made when all the system was OK. This is a basic thing: do backups from time to time when all is working great, and allways before installing any app.

fyi, i've already use the msvdriveE before.last time i didnt transfer all my msg in phone to MMC. then i realize my phone memory is full because of my old msg in phone,so i turn off the msvdrivee and try to empty the msg.suddenly when i deleted my msg the memory is increasing.

1. any idea why it happen?? how to resolve it.

2. if i activated back my msvdrivee and delete the the "index" file in C:\System\Mail\ folder,what will happen??

3. did *#7370* will destroy all my msg and notes in my phone memory?

4. if i can copy all my C:\System\Mail, can it be merge with the existing mail in MMC?

5. do u know any sotware for transferring MMS to PC.

When you disable the MsvDriveE you mean uninstalling it? It doesn't have any option for this, only by deleting msgs.ini fron C:\System\Data you can get the messges on the C drive.
1. I think that the messages were copied from MMC back to phone when you disabled Msv
2. You can delete the whole MAIL dir if the Msv is active. The messages stored on the phone will be removed.
3. *#7370# is equivalent for format. This will erase ALL the data in the phone; the phone will be exactly like a new one.
4. If you want to copy the old messages on the MMC ee my post here.
5. There is a sofware for saving SMS's to text files, but I don't know if it works for MMS too

nope...im not uninstalling it. what i do is just remove my MMC and turn on the phone.the msg directory are back to phone memory.
anyway thanks for the really helpful info.
now my phone are back to normal....byusing 7370....
