Entered the unlock code incorrectly

Hello,

The fella in my local vodaphone store entered the unlock code into my phone incorrectly now it says "not allowed" when I try and input it. Is there a way I can reset the number of tries by flashing or something or do I need to take it somewhere?

If I need to take it somewhere can I just take it to one of the places on the high street? Bear in mind I have the unlock code I just need it entering lol

BTW the guy in the vodaphone shop tried to fob me off saying it was because I needed to have the contract sim card sent out with the phone and I cant be bothered to deal with him anymore

Cheers

If this would have happened to me, I ripped that asshole's head off. If he blocked your phone, contact his manager and tell him he needs to pay for unlocking, it doesn't matter if you have the contract or not. Everybody will pay for his mistakes in a way or another. Try to keep your phone without the battery for a few hours and try again.

I think that you only get a few tries to enter the number,

After that, the phone becomes permantly locked, (This is to stop people trying random numbers, I think),

I would take it back and get them to sort it out, It might mean you get a new phone out of them?!? Maybe,

Carl,
