Tomtom Mobile 6, Route 66, Wayfinder, Navigon and Nav4all... I think that all for now|

thank's

Yes, that's right.

Currently Route 66 Mobile 7 and Navicore are reported to run on Symbian S60 V3.

TomTom 6 has not seen daylight yet, but is supposed to run on E-61 (that's the only device listed on their website).

Navigon apparently does not run on Symbian S60 V3 at all.

I use Wayfinder on my E60 and it works great. I have also used Nav4All on my E60 and it also works but it's really still a beta and has some bugs. I'd recommend you try Nav4All, it free now and see how it works for you. I use Wayfinder mow because I could not get Nan4All to work right for me but there were things about it that I liked better than Wayfinder even though Wayfinder is a more mature product.

I need help...

about the available GPS navigation software for Nokia E70(-1)?

I've tried quite a bit on my (well, Rafe's!) E70....

See the main Reviews section, but essentially:
Navicore Personal - works well, but quirky. And has just started randomly crashing on my device 8-(
Route 66 - solid, but unspectacular, not much work put into it in the last few years. No crashes but has let me down a few times in terms of routing.
Wayfinder - works well in urban areas, but falls down with weak GPRS coverage and nowhere near as pretty

There's no TomTom yet for 3rd Edition - I think they've abandoned S60 because of rampant piracy of earlier versions 8-(

Steve,

Surely the Windows Smartphone version was pirated just as widely as the symbian version and TomTom 6 is available for windows smartphone. In fact there are already pirated copies of navigator 6 for both windows and symbian smartphone (S60 v3) so be patient dear fellows and I think TTN6 will be on E70 in next to no time.

Well, both Route66 and Tomtom 6 for Symbian S60 3rd have been circulating the various boards for some time now.
(Don't ask, I won't post or tell)

TT6 works (very) nicely on anything Symbian S60 including E70 and E61 (S60 3rd).

Anway, based on these findings I have already put in a purchase order with my regular shop. Hope to get TT within the next 2-3 weeks, but nobody knows when TT will decide to start shipping.

As far as I am concerned, I use my navigation software for both navigating and planning trips. I like to put in all sights and hotels as favorites and look around the map in addition to looking at the Google Earth pictures. Tomtom is perfect for this.

Route66 clearly has a nicer input screen (i.e. very easy to enter destinations by simply typing a few letters and numbers) and the fact that unlike TomTom it uses the supposedly better Navteq maps. Apart from that, however, I feel that R66 lacks features that I grew accustomed to while using Tomtom.

The Teleatlas material that Tomtom uses is said to be inferior to Navteq, but honestly, I haven't that many problems during the two years or so I have been using Tomtom on my Palm (mostly USA and Central Europe). Plus, Tomtom seems to be much more relaxed in terms of getting more unlock codes. I didn't have problems "convincing" Tomtom to send me new codes as I buy new gadgets (very often). From what I hear, R66 seems to be really anal about this.

As far as I am concerned, I am very happy to shell out the 150-200 or so EUR for Tomtom.... even though you can easily find pirated copies - if you look for them.

I dont said that Navteq is better or worst than Teleatlas. Only the detail of maps is different. For my area, the detail of Navteq is superior of Teleatlas.
