Is there any way of stopping the red button closing the apps and just taking you to the main screen like it used to, I don't understand why this had to be changed.
Thanks

Dont use the red button. Press and hold down the munu button and then click on stand-by.
All the applications will keep running in the backround.

Yes I did know about the Menu button, and I did guess there was no way to change this, but what i meant was i have pressed the red button by accident before now, and it has killed my app!

doesnt it save the text to drafts if u havent finished it

On my N80 when you prss red whilst typing a txt, it would save to drafts. Therefore, you can go straight back to editing it anyway.
But as the others said, use Hold Menu > Standby
When i have an app or game open i press the red button and sometimes it closes the app or sometimes keeps it running.
some things close, some things dont, things like writing messages will save to drafts and close, but other things, like apps and games (most) stay open..
someone should create an app to change the red buttons function! Having no knowledge of this I have no idea whether it is possible
Afaik, it's up to the application programmer to choose what the red button does. So the behaviour depends on the application.

yes mine does that too, but that means i have to go to drafts and reopen the message whereas before it would just pop straight back to where i left it ready to continue 😃
