Cal forwarding function in 61?

2 replies · 1,771 views · Started 25 September 2006

As a former Treo 650 user i liked the ability to program 'hot keys' which i used for call forwarding functions. Pressing/holding the 'O' key sent the request to my service provider to call forward all calls to Office. 'H' sent all calls to my Home and 'P' to disable all call forward and revert back to my Phone.

It seems the Nokia e^1 Symbian OS does not have any such way to amagae call forwarding. As I need to enter a network string of numbers **21*TheNumber#-send for each time I want to call forwad it is a hassle. I tried to add a call forward menu to the main screen (active console) but there is no such sub-menu even supported on the E61 to do this!

I have looked for some call management software and even the ones i found do not address this problem.

i have to think I am not the only one who call forwards to the office/home daily to reduce the time I need to be on my mobile...

Anyone have any suggestions/ideas/comments?

Thanks!

Can't you put these into a speed dial slot? Should work.

No- speed dial takes it's cue from the contact list and my call forwarding uses the code **21*number# to call forward and if i try and create a contact- i end up with a country code in the front of it... thanks to Outlook which I sync with...
