I have a nokia E50 with some troubles.
I poll my imap mail server every 5 minutes for mail, this works perfectly. Normaly, when there is new mail you get a sound, vibration, on-screen notification and the yellow led starts blinking. This all works as a charm, as long as the phone has just been turned on.
However, I use the silent profile a lot when I am at work or school. This shouldnt be a problem, but when I switch back to the normal profile everything goes bad.
As soon as there is new email, I dont get the sound, the vibration or the on-screen notification. I only get the yellow blinking led behind the joystick.
As you might understand, this is very anoying and even starts to get irritating. Why doesn't this phone understand the new selected 'normal' profile and gives me proper notifications of email? I have mailed nokia about it but have not yet receiver an email about it, I also dont expect it since a lot of people dont get any respons from them (nokia benelux).
Does anyone has the same experience, or even a sollution? Any help would be great!
