To attract people who are into music? I just mentioned it to show how Nokia's trying to get into the music player market.
I agree that people who read AAS would know they could just buy a bigger memory card themselves for far less than the extra a music edition costs, but a lot of phone shops list the capacity of the bundled memory card as if that's the limit of what the phone can cope with (they'll say something like "64mb storage through microSD" even though the model could have 2gb if you buy a 2gb card).
If the manufacturers bundle a bigger card as a "music edition", a lot of people will assume the model has more built-in storage because that's the impression that phone shop specifications give.
