Missing 'Office' logo on E61 main menu

Hi all,

I recently sold a Nokia E61 which I had on Vodafone with their Vodafone Business Mail .

Before I sold it, I performed a hard reset (*#7370#) to ensure that none of my personal details would remain on the device

However I am being told that there is no longer any 'Office' logo on the main menu of the Nokia E61 - Unfortunately I never checked, presuming that everything would return to factory settings?

Does the Nokia E61 come with 'Office' pre-installed? From the various screenshots of the device on the net, it appears with an icon after 'Web' and before 'Connect'

Or, if for some reason, I have managed to uninstall it, is there any way I can restore it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers,

litfoo

Office is a folder under Menu. It contains Document, Sheet, Presentation (Office equivalents) and comes preinstalled on the phone, at least the unlocked phones. I don't know what Vodafone may have done. I do not believe that it is possible for you to uninstall it. I have done several hard resets on my E60 and neither this folder nor the applications were uninstalled. However, I am wondering if you may be asking about the "Active standby apps." that appear on the active standby screen. These will change if you do a hard reset but can be added back by going to Menu=>Tools=>Settings=>Phone=>Standby mode=>Active standby apps.

Thanks for the response. It's very strange as the person I have sold it to has sent me a photo of the E61 and there is no 'Office Folder' (not referring to the 'Acitive Standby Apps'😉

Would you know how to re-install these Office applications?

Cheers,

I didn't know it was possible to remove these applications. Since these come standard on the phone I'd suggest that he reflash the phone using the Nokia Software Updater. If this doesn't work, I'd go to a Nokia Service Center.
