Tomtom6 on N70

Few lines below this thread you can find a TomTom dedicated thread. Search in it and you'll find your answers.

As mentioned before tomtom6 is for S60 3rd Edition.

But after firmware update (using Nokia Software Updater) the phone is S60 3rd Edition. One guy said he had it (tt6) running on his N70 where the installintion started automatically after he put his 2gb memory card in the phone.

Well I also had my fw upgrade to S60 3rd Edition but i'm unable to get tomtom6 installed on the phone. Maybe the memory card size makes a difference and tt6 on a 2Gb card will work (but I don't think so.. I hope so)

(S60 3rd Ed V5.0638.3.0.1 18-09-06 RM-84)

BTW. Where is the Tomtom dedicated thread ?

Hi

i have just got tom tom 5 for my nokia n70, after i copy the files to my memory card and run the programme, it says "no maps found"

after google searching this problem....it seems to be the root/location of where the files are stored which is the issue here

can anyone clarify how and where i need to store the files

thanks

p.s just bought my first car and im totally useless with london roads, i desperately need to get this up n running, please help

use a program like FExplorer to open system folder on your phone
Also handy is a memorycard reader for your pc, so you can place your files on the card all on your pc

about that N70 becoming 3rd edition, gimme a break, that isn't possible. I have TomTom 5.2 on my N70 and that is the latest version, no TT6 for N70.

i have FEexplorer on my phone and a memory card reader for the PC, i just dont know where to store the files in order for the tom tom to work properly...it keeps saying "no maps found" even though ive pasted the maps on the memory card

the *cough* ebay* cough seller left brief notes on how to copy it onto the memory card

Its just that the the files need to be in a specific location within the memory card in order for it to work accordingly.

He doesnt know what i mean as he doesnt own a N70, but his product has worked for other people

its something to do with the location/root of the files:con?

just keeps saying "no maps found":con?

Is not a legal installation? If is not, you should not talk about that here... Read the forum rules.🙄

i dont know if its legal or not..aplogies if its frowned upon,

im not advertising or encouraging the item

i already have it, just having difficulty installing it...which would've happened even if i bought it directly from tomtom

I assumed ebay would've removed the item if it was ilegal?

Contact TomTom developers and ask them how to put the maps on the MMC. They must know, I mean they developed the product, didn't they? 😃
