Programming an n70

Hi, great forum. First post.

Not too sure where to post, the Java Developement section had a thread last updated in 2003! :con?

My questions is this:

I would like to create an application on my Nokia n70, I already have TomTom Mobile 5 & a bluetooth GPS reciver which works fine, using this I would like to make an application that can receive the Latitude & Longitude position from my GPS.

Then when a certain position is reached for it to load an image....

I hope the above makes sense, bascially an application that gets the position feed from the GPS and then does something when it reaches a specific location.

I am not sure wether to do this in Java, or some kind of C++ developer tool, however are there any apps which are simialar to this around at the moment? As it would save me a lot of time!

Many thanks, sorry if its in the wrong section...

Tunnie

The best answers you can get on Forum Nokia. You can get from there the whole documentation and SDK's. I don't know if Java lets you use the entire capacity of the N70, so it will be better to write your app in C++.

BTW: your app seems to be nice, good luck with developing.

Many thanks, just browing their site now, lots of good information.

I'll let you know how it goes, i think the biggest problem will be for me to get the signal from the bluetooth GPS unit..
