I agree that this is not the place for warez but they are only a bad thing if used illegaly.

I wanted Prince of Persia, Siberian Strike and Rayman Golf, all from gameloft but when I try to purchase them from their website the transaction will not complete because they say my country/OP/phone combination does not support OTA. So i had to resort to getting a warez copy of each. Ive since bought game credits from Gameloft and used them via their wapsite for all three games which I cant download from them, so i got my games and they got their money.

stezos:did you try handango as well? (www.handango.com or go to shop part of this page as and use their link to handango as they get some money for purchasing this way)

I have had lengthy email discussions with gameloft about Prince of Persia, being unable to purchase the game from them, I asked for options, they had none. They refuse to distribute the games in any other fashion than OTA in order to reduce piracy.

Judging from the post above - it obviously works. </sarcasm>

If anyone has a way for me to purchase POP, being a UK vodafone customer, I would love to hear about it.

Out of interest, how many people here who are in the UK actually have Prince of Persia (either installed or previously removed)

MirekCz: It isnt available via handango, or at least it wasnt when I was looking for it. The only place that had it for sale was gameloft where has has since been mentioned by cant/wont do OTA to the UK. I too sent them several emails asking how or when it woulld be possible for me to buy the games and all went unanswered. I had considered saying stuff you gameloft and just stealing the games but they are well worth the small price so I used up 3 game credits to pay for them.

Any chance you could explain exactly how to do this? bear in mind that I dont know what a 'gamecredit' is or how to get them. If you know how I can get POP installed on my 7650 without using OTA, I would appreciate the info.

Of course, note to admins - we are not talking about unlicensed software here, I'm talking about a method to install and pay for software, just bypassing the current distribution method.

Ok, gameloft wont let you complete an online transaction because it cant be downloaded, but you can buy came credits from them which can be used to purchase software from their wap site (info here http://www.gameloft.com/en/game_credits_1.php) even though if you cant download the game via wap if they dont support your network. All i did was get the games from a warez site, buy silver game credit bundle then used three of them up on gamelofts wapsite even though i couldnt download them, but had them anyway.

I wont disclose the location of where I got the games from either in the forum PM or email, but for those like me who cant buy it the official way would it be possible for them to send me one gamecredit code by PM for each game they want (I have Prince of persia, Rayman Golf and Siberian Strike) so I can make sure that the code gets wasted and cant be used at a later date and I will email them the game? (PS. I wont do it for guests)

Please noone start doing this until it has been cleared by the Admins and Mods.

I would like to say, I am very much in favour of this. I have purchased some game credits, knowing full well that I may never be able to use them. So that's my part done - supporting the company, now to wait and see if the admins will allow the PM system to be used in this way. If not of course email is an option. 😉

I'm afraid I can't allow this, as it is not ours nor your place to sell the games (Even though you wouldn't make any money).

It is upto Gameloft who it sells it's games to.
