I got Gmail working fine on my E60. Gmail does require a change to the POP and SMTP ports but if you use the settings Gmail specifies for Outlook 2003, it will work fine. Also specify the googlemail instead of gmail (i.e. pop.googlemail.com and smtp.googlemail.com) and it will stop complaining about "untrusted certificates". If you still have problems let me know and I'll post my exact settings.

The configuration was like on PC, see here: http://gmail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13287
Many thanks. The emails I have now been able to download do not now want to be deleted. I use the delete command in the Options menu but they are still there.
The emails were deleted when I logged off and then logged back on.
When I tried using the googlemail.com address, I could not find the server; when I use gmail.com, I get the message that I need to accept or not because of the certificate. Is there a workaround?
my problem is that i can't send email through gmail account.
and i have checked the settings according to the gmail client setting pages.
i'm using a campus wifi that limit some port.
is there something to do with this?
kharnak, have a look at http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/48344/
With the certificate issue - you need to install a certificate. I can't remember the details but it has been mentioned a few times in the forum. That way you wont need to accept the certificates.
Deletion - thats the standard way on S60. I guess it is so things aren;t show as deleted until they really are.
