After all this time I'm still deeply in love with my old 6600 but lately she's been flashing a system error 36 sign at me every time I try to retrieve my emails. Does anyone know what a system error 36 is? Better still, does anyone know where to find a list of system error codes, their meanings and possible fixes? I've also had system error 3 on the odd occasion

If is an old phone, it have the last firmware inside? Code 36, I don�t know...

System error 36 means disconnected. I think in your case there was some problem with your connection between your email client and server. You can check the error code and it's details from here: Symbian OS Error Codes.
