Given that Nokia say it's compatible only with the E70 and the N-Gage QD, sounds like a really quick way to brick the N80..

But the 5B and 6C have the same voltage (3.7V). I heard a few people were using the 6C on their phones... I just want to be sure that it fit ok

The capacity of the 6C is more than 20% higher than the 5B. I think it's worth a try...

Well good luck with that and let us know how you get on.

I bought my N80 sim free and haven't had the same issues with battery life that others have (I don't know why not but I ain't complaining 😊 ).

Given the risk of damaging a 500GBP phone by ignoring manufacturer's advice I personally don't think it's worth it - I would have thought Nokia would have been happy to recommend a more powerful battery that's sold separately if it was truly compatible just to stop the criticisms about battery life..

I would be interested too, BL-5B in n80, was like fitting a 1.0 litre engine in a Dodge Charger, anything to improve it would be most welcome.

err.. has anyone seen the size of a bL-6c????

Its much bigger and there is no way that it will fit in an n80, i would know, I have one here.

What it does fit in and work GREAT is 6600, 6630, 6680, etc etc.

thanks
