Nokia 6600 not booting up after formatting

Hi,

I have a nokia 6600 phone which has been working fine for the last couple of years. Since yesterday, it started switching off automatically. I did a 'soft' format using '*#7780#'. The problem continued even after that.
Then I formatted my phone using 'green key+*+3'. It started formatting and after some time (may be 1 minute) the screen became blank and the word 'formatting' disappeared (i don't know if a message shoud have come like formatting complete etc)
Now when I try to switch my cellphone on, after it boots, the word 'NOKIA' appears followed by the error - 'Phone startup failed.Contact the retailer'.
Please help me out of this. I don't think there is any nokia retail store here so that I can go there.

Thanks in advance.
Shiva

Give it a hard format again and leave it for about 5-10 minutes, it will start. And plug it to the charger.
