Whenever I go through the logs to see my missed calls, it takes around 5 to 15 seconds for the list to pop up, then about the same time for it to be populated with the numbers/callers 😮
Another area where my phone is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow... when composing SMS's, while the cursor is flashing in the To: box, if I hit the clit-stick in to bring up my address book, it takes around 10 to 20 seconds for it to eventually pop up so I can select the recipient.
Anyone got any ideas why it's v.slow? I've got over 600Kb free memory...

Have you tried clearing the log?
Hmmm, kinda defeats the idea of having a log if you need to clear it to make it quicker surely?!?!?
Having said that I've just cleared them... creating a new SMS and entering the address book is way quicker :fadein:
Yet another reason why Nokia shouldn't have cut corners only giving us 4Mb of memory :evil:

Do you really need 30 days worth of logs if it is really that big? Set the logging to something lower than 30 days and it should never get slow (unless you make 1000 calls a day 😊 ).
Errrm, depends on your use of your phone I guess?!?!?! I manage a rock band in South Wales and use my phone 24/7 making and receiving calls for bookings etc 😊 It is kinda handy to have more than 10 days worth of log mind, but probably not 30 days... Shame there isn't an option to set what you want :-?

I have heard of this slowing down problem before.Under what conditions does it happen?
My friend told me that it occurs once you start uploading programs on the 7650.
anyway who need extended logging anyway?
All i know is that your phone becomes really slow (in your log especially,and maybe only) when your log is all filled up! cause 30 days is alot, and every sms message, mms message and recieved and dialed call is there! Kinda alot. when you clear the log, you can see the differnece 😊
I dunno about uploading programs on the 7650 though, i change my programs alot, everytime there's something new i put and i take out the old one. Have'nt got any problems with constant changing with progs, even Doom didn't make any trouble for me! 😃
it is hands down the log! i used to have mine set for 30 days. i was hoping to do this to keep track of my monthly bill. but i stopped doin this because for one, it doesn't really help me keep track of my bill and secondly it makes the fone open really slow - kinda reminds me of my mom's 3310! dang! 8)
i've now set it to one day and works just fine. 😃

i know where you're coming from. but comparing me and you, i dont need to log that much - so 1 day is just fine with me and my phone is mega fast! 8)
