Hello guys,

Just got my hands on a 3230, and the problems have started rightaway....
I am unable to type any characters.
When creating contacts, creating new messages, all i can do is type numbers...
the "pencil'' edit key or the * or # key dont help......

Please help me..... forget about predictive text... i am not even able to type characters....

bye

Soft format may be the answer. Are you sure nothing happens if you keep the # pressed? It should switch to alpha mode.

*#7370# on standby screen. It will ask your lock code. Backup your contacts because you'll loose everything from phone memory.

If this doesn't work, you can try hard format: (*)+(3)+(green)+(power on). The power on button must be pressed the last one. Ask a friend to help you and don't release the keys until "Formatting will be displayed".

Be sure that the phone is plugged to the charger in both cases.
