How long has their been a firmware upgrade tool on the nokia site?

Just tried it on my orange phone, says i'm up to date (3.17).
Anyone wanna try see if their unlocked phones can get v4?

The NSU was updated to include the N80 yesterday.
And yes sim free unbranded handsets do get the V4 firmware

Maybe for your network, 3.17 is the last version.
The tool, doesn�t flash branded phones with generic firmware.

Mine didn't. It's unlocked and unbranded. 😡 It's an Orange sim but surely that shouldn't matter?

the updater says it cant find my phone.
Am I supposed to install PC suite?
I only have OSX/BSD boxes around so I'm using someones RC1 laptop.

Install the last PCSuite, and connect the phone on PCSuite mode.
same probs with my n80 the updater cant detect my phone running windows xp sp2 and the latest pcsuite all the connections r fine any idea whats wrg
when i plugged my phone in the box didn't pop up saying n80 connected but i clicked update and it found my phone anyway
