n73 with gps and hands free car kit
No. N73 (like all others) doesnt have two channels of bluetooth, but only one.
For series 60 v2 there was a freeware called BTex (Bluetooth extender) which you could use for haveing two simultaneous connections. It ran OK, but the link speed was half (max 10kBps)
i can connect to my GPS reciever at the same time as using my bluetooth headset with no problems at all, so you should be able to use your parrot bluetooth kit, then you will get tomtom talking to you through your car speakers:icon14:

On every N Seriers phone I have used (N70,N73,N80) I happily used TomTom with a GPS BT Receiver and a Morotola HS810 BT Headset at the same time.
What's the difference between the above and GPS with a BT car kit?
Are you sure:con? The phones only have one bluetooth channel, not two or more. When that channel is occupied with one device, can handle the other. Only know one bluetooth handset, with two channels, and that way it can be connect with two phones at same time (I dont remenber the brand). The bluetooth is a port, one port, like the phisical ports...

This is NOT true. I connect my N73 to the Emtac bluetooth GPS receiver and the Nokia CK7W bluetooth carkit at the same time. Works flawlessly.
There is however an other issue! I noticed that instructions from the navigation application are sent to the speaker but, as the speaker is redirected to the carkit, the instuctions go to the car speakers. That's nice. But it appears that every time an instruction starts, there is a short delay in activating the speakers via the carkit which causes the first word to be left out.
It is possible that this is not caused by the Nokia CK7W carkit but by the device that routes the sound to the stereo speakers. I still need to find out.
In this particular case it would be nicer if the instructions come directly out of the N73 device.
