What version are we upgrading to?
I was so excited to see your post that Nokia had released the on-line up-dater for the N80, i eagerly downloaded the software and started the process running but to my disappointment it tells me their is no update available for my phone even though it is running the older version V 3.0614.0.3 11-04-2006 RM-92 Nokia N80 (31.02).
Am i doing something wrong?

Don't think so as I am on 3.0618.0.2 and have no updates available either.
I have had a similar experience with both SIM-free and Vodafone UK handsets.

Hi everyone. I run a little blog over at http://n80geek.blogspot.com/index.html. I successfully updated my N80 (Asia Pacific model) firmware over from V 3.0617.0.6 to V 4.0623.0.41. without too much hassle.
However some of my readers have complained that the Software Updater claims that they have the latest versions or informs them that there are no updates available, even though they are currently have Version 3 of the firmware.
(Quotes:- "I just tried with my generic N80 V3.0614.0.3 and it said I had the latest firmware.Tried with both a Vodafone UK N80 and a SIM-free handset - both report "no update available", despite being v3.x firmware."😉
Anyone else faced the same problem? Any fixes or announcements from Nokia?

For me it worked marvelously. Have updated my N80 to v 4.0623.0.41 firmware.
In 15 minutes the job is done. Im happy to do it myself than running to the retailer everytime.
