Hi all.
Very sorry for bringing up an old thread but this is something I'm having massive troubles with! I am in a bit of a limbo state as I have some messages on my memory card and some on my phone. As has been pointed out, you are only asked if you want to copy messages from phone to memory card (or vice-versa) the first time you change the options. Ideally I would like to copy all my messages to my memory card so I can then do a complete update on my phone (as it is running very slowly at the minute so I don't want to do a backup).
I have installed Y browser but I cannot find the mail folder anywhere.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this problem.
Kind regards
Stu
Hello everyone!
I've still got the above problem and despite trawling the internet for over a week now, I have no further ideas 😞
Could anyone offer any guidence?
Thanks
Stu
Ok, I think there have been some crossed wires.
Follow this procedure:
1. From the messaging menu press OPTIONS
2. Scroll down to SETTINGS and select
3. The 4th option in the menu is "MEMORY IN USE" Change this from "PHONE MEMORY" to "MEMORY CARD" (or whatever you have named your card)
4. You will receive a message that says, "COPY ALL MESSAGES TO THE NEW MESSAGE MEMORY ?"
5. Answer YES.
6. You will receive a message that says, "SAVE ORIGINAL MESSAGES ?" If you answer YES, it will keep the messages in the original location as well as moving them to the new location. Answer NO and it will remove them from the old location after they have been copied to the new location
7. You will then get the "MOVING" progress bar
This can be done as often as you like, not just the first time you do it. You can swap and change as often as you like and you will ALWAYS be asked if you want to copy the messages.
Hope that helps.
