"Lock code" in Log

Today I've tried to reset the data counters in Log on my E61. And the phone asked me for a "Lock code". In the pure S60 tradition of confusing the user as much as possible, it didn't say what "Lock code" it was after. There must be dozens of lock codes in this phone and they're all called the same.

So i've tried to enter 12345 as it's usually the default "Lock code" in S60. Didn't work. Now, i might have changed the "Lock code" a while ago but the "Lock code" i potentially changed was maybe not the "Lock code" but the "Lock code" or maybe the "Lock code" or even the "Lock code". Who knows, they're all called the same. And maybe they're all the same. I don't know. And i'm pretty sure that even God doesn't know.

So i'd appreciate a bit of help here because i don't like being locked out of my own device. Concerning the "Lock code" in Log:

- is this code the same as other "Lock code"? If yes, which are they?
- where can this "Lock code" be set and changed?
- what is the default value of this lock code?
- is this "Lock code" usually composed of numbers only or is it an alphanumeric code?
- is there a minimum/fixed/maximum length for this code?

thanks a lot for any help. I've tried several code and even looked in the help file to no avail.

Lock code, always...????

The lock code for clearing the logs is the same lock code that's the general phone lock/security code. No other lock/security codes on the phone. The default of that is 12345, and if you have changed it, then you must use the changed code.

You set/change it in the "Settings" app under "Security".

Thanks. 12345 doesn't work so i guess i must have changed it :frown: I'll try to figure out what it is but the annoying thing is that after 5 erroneous entries, you have to wait for 5 minutes before you can try again so it's gonna take me ages to find out what this damn code is. Oh well, i'll probably upgrade the firmware soon so it'll be reseted anyway.
