hi ,
i have read all the posts and have most of the software to do this but do i need to download the firmware if i use pheonix to upgrade to v4 have no chance of waiting for vodaphone so if it goes wrong then i will just say i lost my phone and get a new one 😊
any one else done theirs who were on vodaphone and is working ok or do you get probs.
i have no probs with v3 at moment bet want to use tomtom so i will have to do it .
any help please
I had my N80 updated with the latest Vodaphone firmware, apparently its v3. I am using TT6 and it does work ok, although I havent used it for prolonged periods of time yet so maybe thats when the Bluetooth problems begin to appear.
I have just updated a locked Vodaphone to V4 using Phoenix - no problems (so far!).
I just used the BB5 Reaper - see the instruction in the thread about V4 software. Yes, you need to download the firmware, but Reaper will guide you through that and even give you the links.
I tried this last week, but I managed to kill the phone by putting on older firmware DOH!
I rang vodafone they sent a prepaid envelope, I sent it off, they fixed it and sent it back in one day! Excellent service!
I am planning on putting on V4 firmware tonight.........I have one question, what is the difference between Euro 1, Euro 2? they both relate to Stainless Steel N80
Any help would be great!
I upgraded my Vodafone N80 over the weekend with no problems. I upgraded it with Euro 2 because I had 42.02 in my phone and I believe that the 02 referred to the language pack. I don't know what languages 01 has
Cheers,
I will give it a go tonight........fingers crossed!
