There are other so-called independent 'forums' that are nothing more than manufacturer-sponsored promotion sites, masquerading as discussion arenas where owners can have their say.
But suggest that certain products may in some way, be lacking - and you'll find yourself gagged.
I think it's even more amazing how open S60.com's blog is, that is openly a manufacturer-owned site yet they take on board criticisms of S60 devices. Tommi once did an entry which was nothing more than a really really long list of things that need to be fixed on future versions of S60 (and a promise from him to pass the suggestions on to the relevant departments). That's a lot more reassuring than insisting everything is perfect.
