I had problems getting TT6 to work, I copied all the TT6 files on to the root of the memory card. There is a Nokia Application Insaller file in the private folder, 10202dce, I put that in the root too. When I put the card in the phone it auto installed, had an accident while deleting some files and had to re-install TT6. When I re-installed it the phone didint auto install it so I had to open the Nokia Application installer file using the file manager. Its a bit of a messy way but it worked and so I have left it well alone, I hope this helps 😊
had similiar problems but i was putting the tom tom stuff to the root via the nokia phone browser. That doesn't work.
You need to put the phone into data transfer mode or use an external card reader. When you insert it back in it should auto install.
Most likely cause of a problem like this, is you did not copy all the hidden files from the tomtom folder
1) Put SD card into a USB Card reader (�5-10) or connect cable and set in Data Transfer mode (much slower)
2) In windows explorer, click tools > Folder options > VIEW > and Tick 'show hidden files and folders'
3) Goto the tom tom folder you have on your pc. In it you should now see ALL the files that need copying. (Hidden ones should be slightly transparent)
4) Whilst in this folder, press CTRL + A to select all (including hidden)
5) CTRL + C to copy. (Or right click on any one file once theyre all highlighted and select copy)
6) Browse to your memory card. In the root folder, press CTRL+V to paste.
This should now either auto install or show up under App Manager on your N80.

ok now i feeel really stupid to ask this but whne people say intall to root directory does that mean you cant put all the filles in a folder and copy them ?? :con? 😎 😮

I installed TT6 on my N80, and it works fine. Now the root of my memory card looks very messy, and I wonder if I could remove some file, the autorun for example. And why does my memory card show up as "TomTom6" in explorer?
