i posted about that before and got no answer

Go to http://filext.com/c.htm & scroll down to CDB
it should be a Turbo C Database File
ne1 tried open with Turbo C?
😃 or could it be that .cdb stands for Contact DdataBase and it has nothing to do with c 😃 :P
Jyrik was right! It's just a database file for all your contacts. Got nothing to do with C. Common' it's Symbian we are talkin here, not C or C++.

At a slight tangent - I'm having problems even getting the contacts.cdb file off my phone and onto my pc.
I'm still battling with PC Suite and my Mitsumi USB adapter (but that's another story  ), so if I can't back up the phone's contents that way, it'd be cool to at least transfer a copy of my contacts list with a file manager via bluetooth (or email).
I've tried to use psiloc's eFileManager to do this, but the contacts.cdb file is about the only file I can't send. As soon as I try to send the file via bluetooth or email, I get the error message "Couldn't send!". It doesn't appear to be a bluetooth connection problem, because other files can be sent. Perhaps the file is locked, but one of the features of eFileMananger is that it can still copy/send locked files I believe.
Any ideas folks? I'll go off and try SeleQ and Dominique Hugo's FileExplorer when I get the chance anyway.
The file is always in use by system, so that is why it cant be sent. 😞
Dont know how you could get it to PC
By backing up the phone and going to the coresponding directory on your PC!

He can''t do that if pc suite isn't working.
Yeah sorry didnt notice that!

LOL
I dream of being able to make backups MaleBuffy 😊
Actually, there's an old thread about my bluetooth adapter and the pc suite that I've found, so I'll go through that first before opening that can of worms.
Thanks for your replies anyway guys.
