Ok, after realising the software updater is not going to work for me I thought about talking it to my local service centre, which luckily for me is a dodgy shop in town.
I have heard this is the best thing to do with it, but then i thought, won't this man be using phoenix software to do it anyway. Because if so I might as well do it myself.
Or will they be using some different software? Please let me know.
If the case is that they will just be using phoenix then I plan to do it myself and I would ask anyone who has done it successfully to please give me a few instructions, (I already have all the files)
Thanks!

Hey slammin,
I did mine and a mates last week following the reaper guide and found it very quick and easy to do. Just make sure you open the firmware .exe first so it installs to the relevant folder in phoenix and away you go. I used "Smooth Stainles Euro 1" from the dropdown box in Phoenix. Just make sure you don't knock or move the USB cable whilst it is flashing or you could have a rather flashy paper weight on your hands.
Both phones are a lot better after flashing to V4.
Hope this helps
Ok great thanks! Gonna try 1 more thing first an then if that doesn't work i'm gonna go for it!
