Push email ...

Currently i have my N70 set up to retrieve email headers every 30 minutes.

30 minutes is the shortest interval the firmware will allow.

What push mail options do i have? preferably free 😊

i dont really know how it works, or what services are on offer so any info would be great ^^

thanks

(im on T-Mobile)

Profimail can simulate Push email by providing an "always on" facility.

Using the IMAP protocol, it polls for new mail at user-set frequent intervals (as little as 1 minute), without downloading the mail to the client, thus providing a similar facility to push e-mail.

So you get the advantages of push email with Profimail - personally I can't see the need for a Push email client - you get notified if there's new mail (choice of header or full email) and it only costs when downloading.

But it's not free - fantastic, but costs about 13.
If you're resourceful you could find it for free but you won't get updates.. 😊

hmm, well, i was hoping to avoid using profimail cos it doesnt intgrate with the OS too well, if u get my meaning.

I think i'll just stick with what i have, thanks for the info though ^^
