Hi guys, heres the state at which my OS and IDE's are;please help to get my symbian working with any mix and matches.
O.S- Win XP , no SP's
Code Warrior- gets stucks at building ; no error,no message,plain STUCK
VC6 No SP's
Borlan Builder5 no SP's
so, which combination so you think can help me?
Upgrade your WinXP with at least the latest SPs (Service Packs) + other assorted fixes (too many security holes in the original WinXP for anyone to use, at least if the PC is connected to the Internet in any way).
Forget Borland, unless you only target older phones. It is a dead-end as far as Symbian C++ software development goes.
For current phones use CodeWarrior 3.1 or Carbide.c++ (note that there's nothing coming beyond CodeWarrior 3.1, because Carbide is that path from now on).
For some tasks you can also use MS Visual Studio 2003 with Carbide.vs. Visual Studio 2005 won't work at all.
VC6 is probably best to forget (but if you use some of the older SDKs that supported VC6, go ahead with it., but update VC6 to whatever SP level is required).

Doesnt Crabide.c++ require anything extra ... ? Because with my system i would not like to download that takes whole lot of time and after everything becomes useless.
