i have just used tomtom with v3 firmware that i got on my phone with vodaphone and it worked ok no disconecting at all , am i just lucky or will it go down hill from here.
will use it a few more times and if no probs do i need to upgrade to v4 firmware , any thoughts please
If I remember correctly there were 2 editions of v3 firmware. The bluetooth issue didn't occur in the earlier v3 firmware, it only occurred with the later version of v3 firware (can't remember the exact numbers of each version).
So if it works you probably have the earlier firmware. I would still upgrade to V4, since bluetooth wasn't the only problem with older firmwares. If you search this forum there is a number of posts describing fixes in V4
My N80 on "3" has the v3.0618.0.2 firmware and tomtom appears to work fine with it, no bluetooth connection drops.
If your v3 N80 is working okay then i wouldn't upgrade the firmware just for the sake of it. I'm not going to as mine is working fine.
