I am using V6.5 maps. I am quite surprised TomTom on the N80 works with v5.xx maps, as the rumour was that it was only compatible with V6.xx Maps?

In any event good to see users have another option if they already purchased V5 maps and don't want to buy duplicate V6 ones. 😊

yeah it works fine apart from signal dropout every now n again which i can cope with tbh.cant totally rely on tomtom giving u exact directions as said on news recently i think.one tt directed someone off a cliff😮

Yes, Sat Nav programs seem to have a problem where roads on the map appear to intersect, but in fact there's a difference in hight.

There's one where I live in Scolttish Borders where it tells you to take a right off a bridge crossing 100 metres above a river. Fortuntately there's no way to follow TomTom's directions in this case as there's no exit right.

If you become aware of any of these errors, you can report them via the TomTom website and hopefully in future versions of the map the problem is fixed.

To all those who have TomTom Navigator 6 working on their Nokia N80

What whould you estimate your Frame Rate / Refresh Speed / FPS / Screen Update Frequency, is?

I get 1 FPS (yes, one-frame-per-second), sometimes 2 in the countryside. It makes the software unusable so I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my phone (latest firmware, plenty of free phone and card memory, hardly any other apps installed).

I did wonder if it was a problem with my Bluetooth GPS Device so I ran a Demo Route and the Frame Rate was the same.

The refresh speed on my 6680 using TT5 was excellent, probably around 15 FPS.

What Frame Rate do you get?
