As a festive promotion Orange are giving away a few free games to Orange subscribers.
To start with there is a driving game, 'Moto GP' and a puzzle game, 'Snood' with more to follow by the looks.

p.p.s. this is only available via the Orange WAP site so I don't believe the .sis file will be available for those who aren't on Orange.
*EDIT* oops I meant jar files as they are Java Games.

And before anyone asks, if you can't download these apps from the Orange WAP site you won't get them here. All About Symbian wil not be able to host these JAR/JAD files on the boards due to the licence of the apps.

Just something that is bugging me; Could Orange UK be giving away freeware as a promotion without the developer's approval, because these are commercial purposes and I don't think the developers would like their products be given away in some evil scheme to get more customers??

possible, but highly unlikely due to the legal problems involved later on should the developers find out. If it was dodgy it wouldnt be so openly advertised 😊
But some1 can always report it or ask the developers if orange are obliged to distribute these games to their customers 😃
I've been waiting for quite sometime now for orange to release some games for their 7650 customers. I've seen posts about other networks providing software and games to their customers but nothing from orange, until now 😃 yipeee! 😃

Somehow I don't think the likes of THQ who wrote MotoGP will be developing freeware, hey I could be wrong but I doubt it. Orange are specific that this is a Christmas promotion only, i.e. after the new year they will be charging for these gaming services.
In the mean-time, party on with free games 😃 there's now a whole bucket load of 'em to download from the Orange WAP site. The joys of being on Orange, I'm sure the other networks are doing similar promotions... get people hooked on new stuff for free then sting 'em with charges in the new year. Orange and Vodafone are doing free MMS for a number months too.
