Hello
I have TomTom mobile 5.20 installed on the MMC card, and would like to make a full format. Althought I don't want to lose all the favorites spots that I added to TomTom during the last year.
So does anyone know where and in which file or files does TomTom stores these settings?
Thanks
bro...
if ya just want to full formate ya mmc....easy.
just copy everything from mmc E/SyStem alls.....
view hidden file 1st before copy ya.
then put it back at ya mmc.:icon14:
if ya think to formate ya phone...
1) if ya still have the installer for Tom2x.
2) ya dont have... filemanager/filemen/FExplorer/SeleQ create folder at E/root
then copy all stuffs from C/system/all inside . after reformate it copy back to there....
3) use PCsuite to back up.
regards
Thank you very much for your reply, but I didn't want to do it exactly that way.
I don't wanna copy everything from root or system to the PC and then send it again to the phone because it has trash and residual files that the various softwares that I uninstalled left behind. I want to start over and create a "pure" system with the latest versions of all the applications I use.
So I will format both the phone and the MMC, just manually backing up the sms. I'm not formating the mmc card because of a corrupt or slow filesystem.
I also don't have the installer for tom tom 2. To install it I just sent a few files to the root and to the system folder.
I tried to use the PC Suite to backup, but I have a 6600. So the PC suite for 6600 simply doesn't work for backing up. It's the worst software I have seen for a long time. It has some critical bugs!
But anyway the backup would also restore the trash that the phone has.
So I was just wondering about in which file is stored the tomtom favorites to copy just that and only that file, and then replace it when a clean instalation is done.
