Hi Guys, Just received back a new 9210 (Exchange Unit) and on the front numeric keypad where it lights up light blue it does not seem to be as bright around the * key as it is the rest of the keypad. Is this the same as any of yours as if not its going back. Regards.

Send it back, my keys are silver and back light is very bright underneath these.

SEND IT BACK!

Thanks for the replies guys, It'll be going back for the 5th time. Nokai service centres are crap in the U.K!!!

...it's not only U.K.
Even in Italy the centers are awfull!!!!!!!!! I can't belive that with all the money that we spend they treat us like shi... :x :agrue: . They just don't care!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you are right 100% the Nokia service centres are totally CRAP in the UK, when you spend 600 on a 9210i   , you expect a efficent service, well thats after you've spent 40+ minutes on hold whilst trying to get through to one of their agents!

What a bunch of jokers, they know that there device has no direct competition so they abuse this market power to the full extent!

Until now I did not have problems with Nokia Service centre here in Buchares.

They where able to handle quick an upgrade/48 Hours, replacement of the case in 30 Minutes, different replacements like keyboard or connectors.

The have handle well my 9110 and also my 9210.

It is a region issue I think

if i want to change my 9210i case, they will change the whole case? even internal cover? or just external one?

they will just change your case at a cost of 150   if your in the UK, it will be a completely new looking 9210 (i). 😃 😃

I agree with you 4u2nv...this makes me really mad!!! I think that they have agents that are not competent and I even think that they are not well equiped! In italy u have to wait at least 10 days for an upgrade!! Plus, the nokia points are not authorized to touch your phone! They have to send it to one of the 2 big nokia centers!!!Can you believe that 😮 :-? !?!60 million people in italy,we are the country with more cell phones per habitant of europe and they have only opened 2 fu...ing nokia centers able to repair your 9210!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x  :x  :agrue:

Had to put in my R0.000002.
Have not had any trouble with my 9210i (guess i must be lucky)
But with the 9210 went for the firm upgrade and the ones in South Africa seem pretty good.
Though from what i hear nokia made some new rules (oi about 6month ago) that makes them not as free as they use to be.
Sure i will find out soonish. (New firm for 9210i)
PS any one if there is gonna be one?
Maybe for the fix so SmartAnswer can work 100%

In Patras Greece, we have 3 Nokia Centers for 300.000 people city and they still need an enema 😊😊😊 Seriously, I never had a problem before 9210. I had 4 different Nokia phones before that. And I know many people who needed service or upgrade. Everything was fast and fine. They just don't know about the technology they sell. I know more things about Nokia that they do!... And they can be really rude.

The Nokia Care Center in the Philippines suck as well. They don't seem to know anything about repairing a 9210 save for "sir, let's reformat it."

Sheesh.

Apparently the 9210 and the 9210i are not being sold in the u.k at the moment and anyone who is has got old stock so that means it must be coming to an end as the 9210i has not been around that long!!! They could not find me one brand new 9210 in the u.k so they have got me a brand new 9210i at no extra cost. This is down to the people i bought the phone off though as Nokia wanted it back in for repair but as this has gone on for over 3 months now the bloke in the shop pulled a few strings for me. All this over a software upgrade and that took 2 months and came back scratched. I hope its all over and i await my new 9210i. I just hope its a bit more reliable as i dont want to go through all this again over a poxy software upgrade!!! Good luck to you all as you'll need it as these people just don't care!!!

You're 100% right! 😮 I had the 9210 and was not happy :x   .
With the 9210i i'm quite satisfied... :-? 😊
