Jabra Bt 250v Hands Free or better alternative — Nokia N80

Has anyone had any problems using the Jabra 250v headset. I have tried to use mine with my N80 but it has a habit of ringing once and then silence. I use a Nokia hands free as an alternative without any problems, I have tried to discuss with Jabra but their customer service is useless.

Failing that does anyone have any recommendations.

I had one of those Jabra, but with lot of problems. Now, like You said, with HS-56W - Nokia brand, no problem at all, and with a very great battery.

I get similar problems with my plantronics 2500
I found that it happened if the phone had been connected to pc suite via blue tooth.
The solution for me is, (when the computer is off or pcsuite is stopped), switch off bluetooth on the phone, then back on again, connect the headset and it is fine.
Except that the first call always sets the volume to minimum. I just turn it up to the desired level and it is ok until the next time I reconnect.

Glad to see others are having problems as well I am assuming that all are on the latest v4 software.

I spoke to Jabra again and they appear to have no clue at all. They have not tested the N80 mobile just said that it works with the N70 so should be okay, although I believe that the N70 is 2nd edition symbian not third.

Looks like I will have to go back to Nokia headsets.

Yes, true. N70 is S60v2 not S60v3.

There's a new V4 firmware out - ending xx42.
I find the existing V4 while certainly better than V3, still has some MINOR BT issues.
But the head and shoulders best HS I've used is the utterly awesome Plantronics Voyager - incredibly comfy, inexhaustible battery and very reliable.

I have just look at a lot of reviews of headsets and the Plantronics 655 looks a good bet. Anyone actually used this with a) N80 b) with any other mobile?
