Just got the P990 and it has been hanging on me all day long. Everytime i attemp to on the camera, it hangs as well. Any suggestions would be great...I up graded from the P910 which was great...Pls help
P990 hangs like thers no tomorrow...
What firmware version do you have? You can check by going to the main menu, tapping the down arrow by the main menu title and selecting System Information.
I've the latest firmware on mine, which is simfree, and us Phone R7A001, Bluethooth R4F01, Organiser R3B01, CDA R3B01.
If your version seems out of data compared to that I'd try updating it via SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) HERE
Just for the record, since around 4 weeks since I upgraded to R3B01 I have only needed to re-start once and the P990 is my main phone used 7 days a week. I use all the features except Push email. I listen to A2DP and web browse etc
Hi, i tried to update my p990 with SEUS and it said i had the latest software. however, reading these threads mine are different to yours. i have phone: R5A006 bluetooth: R4F01 and organiser: R3A04. whos is the latest? tim.
@timreeves, looks like you have a Vodafone P990. They are using an older firmware. The new one (oraganiser R3B01) is available as I have it my other P990 which a Vodafone one but Vodafone have decided not release it via SEUS for now.

Please help me. I also got P990 and it hangs everyother time. I have a VOdaphone p990 , so guess can't upgrade using SEUS. Please suggest how else can I upgrade the firmware to latest version.

People with Vodafone firmware P990is in South Africa (on the Vodacom network) have been allowed to flash their phones with the stock SE firmware @ any Vodacare centre, cos the Vodafone software make the phone very unstable & crash constantly.
I'm with MTN (they use SonyEricsson stock firmware), haven't had any problems with my P990i so far. 😊
