Lock on Offline mode

Please help me! It seem that my phone is locked on Offline mode i can't get any signal from my telco(Smart Philippines Comm).
I've tried reseting my phone to its original phone settings, both inside the tools/phone and by codes < *#7370# and *#7780#> (which i found in this forum. thanks 😊 ). Can someone Pleeeease help me!

Do you have a SIM inserted? 😃 Just kidding, but the SIM may be the guilty piece. Clean the contacts of the SIM and the phone, they might be dirty and the contact between them is imperfect.

Thanks Ratza but i've tried inserting other sim(Smart sim lock). Is there any way i can restore my cell to its original phone settings. can i try flashing my phone to higher version? currently my n80 is version: 3.0617.0.6

I'm afraid this seems to be a common occurance on the N80. Mine (Orange UK) did the same and even after a hard reset it refused to come off Offline mode. It took Orange a week to think about it and then decide to replace the phone. There have been other people on this forum that have had the same problem.

Maybe you can try pressing the on/off switch and select "General" profile then it will give you prompt and simply select yes and you're done. Provided that your problem is NOT sim-lock (which is the provider/sim card's problem NOT the phone).

Good luck for you!
