Hey everyone! I've been looking to get a new phone. My N70 was one year old yesterday and the direction pad I think might be going. I went to the Nokia store here in Chicago and played with the E70. I really liked it. Although I think I'll have to get used to the split keyboard but all in good time. THe one thing that concerned me was the Gallery functions. The gallery was simply a list version of the images. I couldn't find a way to change the view. My N70 has a "carousel" style gallery that I really like using. Does the E70 have this funtion or is it the N-series only? And two, when viewing an image, I wanted to edit it (i.e. crop, brightness, etc.) My N70 also has these but I couldnt' find then on the E70. Does it have these? Is there anything the N-series will do that the E-series doesn't have built in? Thanks!

See the E70 review of this site and on GSMArena site. You get a better idea about E70.

Thank you for the response. It is a very nice indepth review. There still is the question of the Gallery. Given the "business" nature of the phone, I'd estimate that I can not do the things that I would like on the E70. I use the gallery of my N70 a lot. My problem is that I do SO much messaging so I really want a QWERTY keyboard but none of the N-Series have it. :frown:

The gallery on the E70 is just a barebones, simplified (ie only shows relevant media files) file browser which shows previews (thumbnails) for image files. Apart from the eye candy that the N70 gallery has are there any other "practical" features it has over the E70 one?
As for image editing, you can download the Nokia app for one of the other 3rd edition phones, it'll work work on the E70. However on my (APAC) E70 it displays some funny Japanese characters for a few of the menu options (nothing major, you can guess what those options are).
There's always "Photo-Rite" as an image editor (see the software pages here).
There's a whole load more which are not (yet) ported for Series three- I guess they'll be a long shortly ( if they're any good).
I'm still holding on a decision in that arena myself - My 6 x 4 Photoprinter (Kodak Easyshare) has Bluetooth so it's dead easy to quickly print off snaps. However, the need to "tidy" them in in Pant Shop Pro on the PC beforehand completely negates that advantage.
I'm interested to note that you can get the N series apps as a Nokia download - I'll look into that.
Having been torn between the E70 and some of the N series devices, I'm glad I went for the E70.
