Question for US owners

4 replies · 2,325 views · Started 18 October 2006

For those in the US with N80s, where did you purchase your phone? I really want to purchase the phone, but I want to make sure that if I don't like it I can return it. Are there any companies recommended, or should I just purchase it directly from Nokia's website?

Any help is welcome, thanks!

I bought mine thru EBay Express, their new non bid site. Everything is "Buy it Now", and there are return privlidges.

510.00 delivered.

It is from Hong Kong, so I have the 46.02 version of the firmware, but I am very pleased.

I got mine via samstores online and as above i also ended up with a hong kong version. Had no probs since it arrived a moth ago. Getting from nokiausa is more money but u can update firmware and/or return without any worries.

Terry - did u try updating your v3 to v4 via NSU?

got mine used off of ebay with a 1GB memory card, data cable and stereo headset... USED - but only for a little over 20 days or so. GREAT shape, no scratches, and UNlocked. good snatch it at the last second ebay price.

Just updated to V4 firmware today (had to do that at work, I'm a Mac guy)
All is good. Now using a 2GB memory card.

Yes, I have tried, keeps coming up, no update found.

I leave for Amsterdam tomorrow. I plan to go to a Nokia service center while there and try to get a generic upgrade to V4.
The Seattle area Nokia service centers don't know anything about an N80, lol
