Hi folks,
i hope someone can help me here as i have run out of ideas, i am trying to send some .sis files via bluetooth to another phone, but everytime i try to send them i get a message on the phone that says "unable to send protected object" these are all files that i have put on the phone, i was told that i would have install a third party explorer program on the phone and then send them, i have tried 3 of these and still the same happens, i was also told to rename the file with .txt instead of .sis and then try it but still the same :frown: , has anyone managed to do this yet, if so please please can you tell me how, thanks for listening 😉

Well first of all...ive registered jus to answer this query so i hope its worth the trouble!
well if uve got sum prog like seleQ or Fileman or FExplorer go to the file...
jus rename it to sumthin like .si instead of .sis
send the file over bluetooth an then rename 😊

plz tell me if this workz...thnkz

It is because .sis and .jar files are on what is called a closed content list. This is to implement some form of DRM protection. However it is a blanket ban so even if you made your own app you couldn't send it anywhere. I've noticed that its a file on teh C drive, I was going to see if I could somehwo find a way of editing it but I guess it will have to be done before the firmware is sent to the phone.

And after developing such a novel workaround the problem, why cudn't the developers, in the holy name of Jesus, add 1 more item to the 'Send by' menu": Multimedia Message

That would be

A: Logical
B: Sensible
C: Something you could use
D: Desirable

So with all those things going for it there is no chance of getting them to do it 😊
