TomTom 6 N80 Postcodes B'ham Problem - Can everyone try?

8 replies · 2,205 views · Started 19 October 2006

I posted about this in another thread, but I wouldn't mind a thread of it's own.

I live in Birmingham and therefore mainly enter Birmingham Postcodes.
If I press "A" twice to get "B", it hangs, and then exits.
But other letters seem to work when pressing the button twice.
And also, quite wierd, if I enter "M", and then enter "B" it works!! Grr!!

Thank god I still have TomTom 5 on my 6680!

If other people could try entering "B" in their postcode search and post results it would be grateful!

Thanks

Mike

Cheers guys for trying. I'm sure it is possible for mine to work then!
Mine freezes a lot too which is annoying.

Btw, it's TomTom App version 6.010 (7640), GPS Driver v1.20, Map: GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE v650.1046.

N80 Generic running V4.....42

I did a factory reset on my phone last night, and installed it all again.
It still hangs in various areas (maybe related to postcode) and I can now enter "B" but the next digit crashes it!

I'll try another postcode file I have from TT5, if that fails, I give up! Woo!!

Cheers

Mike

Just checked, it still crashes with a working GB postal file :con?

Thanks for all the ideas though guys! :icon14:
