Phone works, backlights work, but no display output at all

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone's heard of this before..

last night I shut up my 9500 and this morning I open it to find just a bright white screen. It's not a "white screen of death" though, as the phone entirely works. I can make calls, use the cover phone, and even use the phone features of the PDA part.. by memorizing the keypresses.

Neither the cover display or the main display displays anything at all (not even the Nokia logo on loading) .. but the phone fully works otherwise. Backlight works fine on both screens, and I can change the brightness with Chr+Space easily. Just no pixels on the screens whatsoever.

I did the hard reset, reboots, soft reset, kept the battery out for ages, and the resets definitely 'worked' since my ringtone changed from my personal one to the default one. Yet still nothing on the screen.

I'm going to call the CRC people tomorrow to send it in for fixing, but wondered if anyone had any ideas before then. 😊

Cheers,
Pete

Hi,
I had the same problem with my 9300 -it died after installing some messenger application.

What did the repair center people say about it?
