I'm new to this forum, i've bought my E61 about two or three weeks ago. The phone is amazing and i'm so glad i've bought it.
Though I'm suffering from several problems in regard to the internet....
I really have no idea where to start exactly, but i'll try my best not to lose you 😛
ok first of all...
I have wireless network at home, and college. At college we have several network; every department has its own network. so a building might have four different spots that cover the whole building!
I would love to be able to choose which network i want to use, and once the phone find the network i've chosen, it would connect to it automatically.
right now this works for my home network, but i've tried to add an access point for one of the hotspots at college, but whenever i open the internet browser it tries to connect to my home network, it doesn't show me the choises i have. i tried to enter the settings to selesct the new network, i can't remember what happened next, i think the accesspoint wasn't visible there <_<
anyhow,
the second problem is... how can i search for new hotspots when trying to access the internet? Do i have to define accesspoint everytime i want to browse the internet?
third problem, I've been unable to access my gmail account. I have defined the email key (there was a list i chose email type from, not sure how i got that menu, it might be service provider thingy, dunno) but anyhow, i'm trying to access the email from my wireless internet connection, i did choose the option for asking which connection, and i do get it... so there should not be a problem with the connection (since i already can browse the net with no problems)... but i was unable to retrive anything.
finally, Isn't there anyway to use older VoIP protocol? My VoIP account is not SIP (I think h.something).
